Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is leading the way in climate action by strengthening the implementation of its Climate Action Plan (CAP), developed under the KP Climate Change Policy 2022. The CAP aligns with Pakistan’s national climate commitments, making KP the first province to update its policy in line with the National Climate Change Policy, 2021 and the country’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

To keep track of progress, SEED has helped the KP Climate Change Department develop an IT platform that brings together 18 departments, monitors over 500 climate actions, and generates reports for better decision-making. SEED also designed a user-friendly digital application to make tracking easier. Now handed over to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for rollout, this system will help KP stay on top of its climate goals.
